Content | Currently the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is a free-standing agency. We should move the duties and responsibilities of the medical examiner's office to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. This could potentially save the state money by combining adminstrative duties that are common to both agencies (e.g., personnel, accounting, and data processing) and would also give the examiner's office access to OSDH's talent pool of doctors. |
