Instead of going to school from August to May straight, perhaps legislators should alter the schedule. School could be held January through March, with a break in April. School then begins again from May to July, with a break in August. Finally, school concludes the year from September to November, with a break in December. This would decrease student and teacher burnout, and it would be consistent to the improvement of curriculum and test scores through time served.
