When a person turns 80 they should surrender their license and be paired up with a newly licensed driver who will take them on errands, to appointments and the like. At the same time the young people can learn from their elders' experience and bring the generations together. Ownership of the vehicle used and insurance issues could be worked out between the families and could include a possible transfer of ownership of the vehicle when the older person dies.
