| Content | In school we don't teach enough economics and we have too many drop-outs. One Idea might help with both. When a student enters the 9th grade, they take an elective course in Economics and as part of the course they are given $200 to invest. They can invest it any way they want with the stipulation that they can't withdraw any of the money until they graduate. If they don't graduate, they don,t get it, and when they graduate, they have $200 plus to help them get started on the next part of their lives. |
